Hello,
I migrated a sarge installation into a domU. I did this using dhcp. That
worked fine.
But now I want to switch to static ip address.
In the corresponding xmdomain.cfg I change:
#dhcp = 'dhcp'
#vif = [ '' ]
dhcp = "off"
ip = "192.168.17.16"
netmask = "255.255.255.0"
#broadcast = "192.168.

Hello,
I have sarge running with root, boot and grub on the first partition on my
disk. Now I want to install etch on a second partition and eventually the
first one will be deleted.
I installed etch with debootstrap on the second and installed grub there,

Thank you for your comments so far.
I am going to do the following:
1. Leave to running system untouched as long as possible.
2. Delete an unused partition which occupies the second half of the disk.
3. Create a ext3 partition with 256 MB at the end as boot partition.
3. Create a PV on rest.

Hello,
I have Debian Sarge running on a traditional partition. Now I am going to
make a clean install of edge. Before doing this I wish to migrate to LVM
an XEN. Is this realistic?
I was searching a lot but did not find a clear answer, yet.
I am imaging to do something like that:
1. Convert the

Is there a better forum to discuss that problem?

Hello,
I want to setup nxserver with public key authentication.
It is easy to have nxclient connect to nxserver after I have placed the
public key of the client into nx/.ssh directory. Then nx uses sshd
again to authenticate the actual user. But sshd does not use PAM but only
public key authentic
