Hi!
I have compiled the pcmcia-source along with the kernel, but now
i have another problem: the cardmgr doesn't quite do what it should...
from the logs:
initializing socket 1: Fujitsu FMV-J182 LAN Card
executing: 'insmod /lib/modules/2.0.32/pcmcia/fmvj18x_cs.o'
get dev info on socket 1 failed: N
Hi,
I've a problem: my laptop doesn't seem to see a Fujitsu LAN card (10
base-T). Is the problem in the kernel or is it somewhere else?
Thanx in advance,

Why should there be a netscape installer package

hmmm it seems I just got it. (twice that is: one directly from
you, and one from the list.)
Maybe you should try to send something to the list without
sending it to me. Now that there was a [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: field
For some strange reason, there was added a reply-to address to my last
mail to this list. I hope it has been removed with this one...
By the way, I got this message back from the list, so the mail I write

Things are getting strange around here...

Hi!
I'm having some problems with getting mail from debian-security-accounce.
I've been kicked off twice because of massive amounts of bounced mail. I
guess it has something to do with an anti-spam filter some sysadmins have
placed on the backbone of the university. It probably rejects mail that
Hi!
Just in case you didn't yet notice, it seems that the spam mail
on the debian-user list is coming from only ONE sender.
I'm not saying this really is true, but examining all headers of the
spam mail, I noticed that the following line:

I didn't read all your postings before previous message, but my
second question about the P166+ was based on rumours I heard here.
I didn't quite believe it, but just to be sure...
By the way, it was about one of the first P166+ , no mmx , no nothing
processors. (As far as I knew -before some told
Well, thanks to all, I'm gonna buy it (at least as soon as
I have enough money together, but that should be quite soon)

Hi!
A few hunderd messages ago someone (I believe 't was Wolf Logan) had a
problem installing Debian. He mentioned that he had an AMD K6/200. I
am thinking about buying a K6/233, but would linux run clearly with it?
Has anyone experience with this?
Thanks in advance,

Hi!
Does anyone know whether or not this card is supported and which server I
should run for it? Someone wants to install debian linux but only if it
supports her video card.
Thanx in advance,

Hi
I'm using a bo system with netscape 3.01 gold. I now want to upgrade to
netscape 4, using the installer package from hamm. Now my question is,
which of the files from ftp.netscape.com should I use, and where exactly I
can find them.
Thanks in advance,

I don't know whether or not this is the right place for this, but I had
some problems installing hamm on my system. As I do not yet want to drop
my bo system, I decided to try it out on a looped filesystem. I have
recompiled a 2.0.32 kernel with looproot support (patch from linuxhq.com).

Hi,
I noticed that redhat 5.0 'remembers' the full host name of my last
login, while my debian 1.3.1 system gives me only the first 16 characters
of it. As I didn't yet have the courage to install hamm, my question is,
will hamm also remember the full hostname of the host I last logged in
from? (o
