Hello,
When playing an mp3-song using noatun (KDE 3.5.10 and 4.2.2), noatun
displays the title of the currently played song in a format, that can be
configured in the noatun settings. (The playlist uses probably the same
format)
There's a line that composes the format of the title to display, tha
I just did a 'reportbug' on 'kde-window-manager'. I hope it will lead to a
fix within the next weeks. If not, I'll try another Qt-Version.
Thank you all for trying to help.

mar...@asgard:~$ kwin --version
Qt: 4.5.1
KDE: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2)
KWin: 4.2.2 (KDE 4.2.2)

Hoy Stephen,
Thank you again for your patience.
Unfortunately I haven't made it so far, but I think I can
give a more detailed description of my systems behaviour.
I've played a bit with the settings you told me and I noticed,
that my system supports two monitors to some degree. E.g. I can

Yes, but it's not possible to put this one in the kicker/panel.

I agree, and I appreciate that.

So do I currently.

If this would work inside the kicker (or whatever the name
of that panel is in the new KDE), it would be exactly what

If you upgrade KDE currently, you most likely get KDE 4.2.2.
Try two things (again and again):
$> apt-get -f install
$> apt-get install kde4

Hi all,
After playing with KDE 4.2 for a while, I was able to regain
some functionality of KDE 3.5, but I'm still missing some
things that I either haven't found yet or they did not exist.
If they exist, can someone tell me how to get that function?

In KDE 3.5, there was a
Hi again,
Stephen, I could not get the configuration to work. If I use the
ServerLayout that you postet, the second monitor stays black.

Thank you Stephen for your configuration. I'll try that (at the
weekend I guess) and I will report if it helped me here for KDE4.

It is. One of my favourite benefits using linux is to be able to
work fast with less mouse usage. Not 'no mouse' but only mouse
where it makes sense (Drawings, GUI-Development). KDE 3.5 (witho
Hello,
this is about SID and KDE 4.2.2 .
Just like in the latest SID-Package for KDE 3.5.10, the maximizing
behaviour for windows is broken for dual monitor configurations.
I cannot find a setting that to tell kde4 to maximize a window
only to the current monitor, not spanning it over both monit
Hi all
I am using Debian sid, updated daily (except for the kernel, it's
2.6.25). I am playing CS (1.6) on steam using wine for several
years now.
A few weeks ago, I noticed, that the sound mutes after a few
minutes of playing. It always returnes when a mapchange occurs,
so I blamed steam for it.
