Hi,
thanks for checking, in the end I solved this by switching mirrors from
default http://deb.debian.org/debian to http://ftp.cz.debian.org/debian
- after updating I got the correct version of QEMU package.
Maybe something was cached somewhere for several days, strange that I
had to change
kworm-backports main contrib non-free
Is there something broken with QEMU packages? I haven't found the
versions which it is trying to download on deb.debian.org.
Thank you for help

Hello,
I have an old Dell laptop with Broadcom BCM43142 WiFi device
(https://wiki.debian.org/wl). It doesn't have a hard drive, so I
sometimes boot Debian from USB Memory Stick in live mode.
The problem is that WiFi doesn't work because of the proprietary drivers
it needs.

Hello,
my first post to the debian user list for a quite vexing issue. I'm running
debian squeeze.
I'm trying to get capabilities working along the lines of
blog.fpmurphy.com/2009/05/linux-security-capabilities.html.
I installed libcap2 (1:2.22-1.2), libcap2-bin (1:2.22-1.2), and
libpam-cap(1
I have encountered exactly the same problem. Got four new Dell servers
(2xR820, 2xR620), all with Broadcom 5720. I have installed Wheezy on all of
them, including Xen. But only on two of them, I have installed
firmware-linux-nonfree and only on ONE of them (namely R820), the NIC

I suppose that the problem is that the evdev module (generic
input driver module) gets unloaded at the end for some reason.
Have anybody met similar problem before? Or can anybody give
me a clue how to solve this problem? I'm asking before
filing a new bug under the xserver-xorg-input-evdev package.

I assume that the interface will remain the same between the modem and
your computer, i.e. ethernet.

Dear all,
why is /lib/modules//build a symbolic link?
Wouldn't it ease deployment of kernels if it included directly the
headers that were used for building the kernel?
Thanks for any enlightenment.

Dear all,
while I am able to boot my Linux installation with 2.4.26, I cannot
boot it with a freshly installed 2.6.5.
INIT panics with segmentation fault when /etc/init.d/rcS executes
S20mountvirtfs.
Thanks in advance for any idea how I can circumvent this problem!
