stty -a shows the current terminal settings. So the problem could be in
several places.

I looked in my /etc/passwd file and found that Debian included:
www-data:*:33:33:www-data:/var/www:/bin/sh
Of course you might edit the line to concure with your system

notice that irq 11 is not listed in /proc/interrupts. This little
problem created
some serious problems with my sound card, and scsi controller when I
added the scsi
to my system. I hope that
lk, did you do a kernel compile
specifying in the net section to include apple talk in the kernel? I
have found that whenever I have a new system that it is wise to make a
custom kernel to match my system parameters.
Though the Debian package comes with most items loadable as modules, I
still go throug
unt the /cdrom directory
while I, or one of my shells, or someone else's cursor was in the
directory I was trying to mount.
Usually I was the one in the directory that I was attempting to mount.

This way I am able to mount a msdos or an ext2 floppy with a simple
mount /floppy for ext2
or
mount /a: for a msdos floppy

install-fmt-base was already deleated. If you need a copy of
