Hi Debian team,
I tried many tools and ways to parse Debian 12 stable into bootable device
but motherboard cannot detect boot device. In other laptop like Dell, it
can detect that boot without any issues.
It only see boot device if I turn off secure boot, fast boot and turn on
CSM support with UEFI
I want to upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2 beginning with the base package.
Would anyone show me how to do it? TIA.

Hi,
I really like the Installation Instruction presented at
http://www.debian.org/. I think it is very clear and very well written.
Tha authors are congratulated for a job well done.
I do have a suggestion, however; that is we need more installation
instruction after installing the base set. The

I install Tex and Latex with Debian-1.1.
I could to Tex but I could not do Latex. When doing Latex,
I got a message like:
This is Tex, Version 3.1415 (C version 6.1)
I can't find the default format file!
I saw a similar note on the net regarding the same problem.
Is it a bug and how to fix it?
I have a ps/2 bus mouse and Debian-1.1. It seems that /dev/mouse
cannot be found. I tried it with gpm -t ps2 -R. Do i need to
recompile the kernel with ps2 mouse support? I would think this
should be included with the distribution. Any thought? Thanks.

Hello,
I just downloaded the boot, root, and base disks. I wrote them out to
floppies using rawrite2. My question: when I download other packages,
what program do I use to write them out to floppies? rawrite2 or copy
or tar? Another related quesion. The file extension of debian binary
files is .de
