I have a sony n505ve and purchased the above ethernet card. I've spent more
than enough hours trying to get debian to work. It works flawlessly in
redhat. I've tried to get slink to recognize eth0. I did upgrade pcmcia-cs
to the newest version, and it will recognize eth0, but no network functions
w
i've got the above notebook and 3com cardbus ethernet card, yet cannot get
it to work in debian. right now i'm getting the following message:
ds Linux PCMCIA Card Services 3.1.8

ds: no socket drivers loaded!
*and*
ds: No such file o
I thought all my files were up to date and purged my cache (through dselect)
and now it won't upgrade any packages because it says it can't find them.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this problem?? Thanks.

Has anyone been able to get the sblive drivers to work in SMP? I don't
care what version kernel as long as it's 2.2.x or greater. It really
sucks to go into uniprocessor mode.
