Hi Chuck,
As a quick fix on the make installer media work, how can I remake my own
installation ISO by recompil ing the kernel and initramfs ?
Can give me some directions ?

Another try with the installer on Debian Live 11, it immediately
crashed and reboot.

Yes, I set BIOS='ovmf', and the Debian installation showed UEFI installer.

I installed Debian Buster with UEFI boot on my ThinkPad P52 successfully
without any boot problem.
I think it is related to Xen HVM + OVMF.
