from work to home where I
have dialup access and I have to muck around after the machines boots to get
it to work properly. Does anyone know of such a beast?

My hardware is a Gateway 2000, 3c509 ethernet card, and Debian kernel is
2.0.6 built to include `ip_aliasing'. I see `/proc/net/alias*' files so I
take it the kernel was built correctly.

Anyone know how to make Debain's `restore' command correctly read a DAT tape
written on on a Sun? The backup was made with the following command:
dump 0bdsf 126 54000 6000 /dev/rst1 /home
I've tried various things, I even read the SCSI-HOWTO and still no joy. I
believe the drive is working fin
