is there somewhere one the net a howto/tutorial etc. on how-to build a
deb-file from source. I run Debian woody and want to upgrade
Spamassassin. I don't want to go the Debian-way and take the package
from unstable. So I thought I take the original source and make a deb.

Take a look into /etc/network/interfaces. There should something like:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
If not, add it.

I'm using Debian Woody 3.0.17 with Kernel 2.2.19. My systems stops at
boot-up for 10-20 seconds. It shows this message:

When I log on, I can use my mouse without any problems. But after a
few minutes it stops. First I thought that my mouse isn't working
