I set a local nameserver in /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf (provided by the
dhcp3-client package):
On my galaxy s2, I use:
Settings-> Wireless and Network-> USB utilities -> Connect Storage to PC
then
plug the micro USB cable in
and press Connect USB storage.
