One thing that i find interesting about this is that if, indeed, the patents
only apply to using multiple directory entries on an "8.3" file system to
simulate long names (as appears to be the case), digital cameras don't fall
under the patent. the dcf specifcation (http://www.exif.org/dcf.PDF)
I've got a pptp connection to my employer. I'd like (for purposes of
netfilter rules and routing) to have the connection come up always using
the same ppp interface number. Does anyone know of any way to do this, or
would it require significant changes to the ppp driver and pppd source
code?

I'm looking to purchase a new tape backup drive. I'm looking for
something fairly large (8-10GB or more), in addition to fast (i.e.
it can't be a floppy or a parallel port connected device). Of
course, it also needs to work under Debian. I can't afford to get a
