a few days ago syslog-ng stopped working properly on my
laptop.
Its output consists only of error report lines such as the following:

Hi,
i am running Debian testing on a IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T60p.
For the graphics, i have chosen the vesa driver from xorg -
as it works together well with software suspend.
This combination worked quit well uptill now: X applications
were sufficiently fast (i don't really need 3d acceleration).
Hi,
our smtp server requiers ssl authentication
(user+passwd over port 465)
It refuses to use SASL, and doesn't work with TSL either
although the latter is often refered to as TSL/SSL -
spent quit some time trying to setup postfix properly, and
tried some others (exim, esmtp, msmtp) as well.

I can't help you with session managment but the later is very easy
to do: you have to configure sawfish "Bindings" part
I think for a default setup, if you left double click you get the

i just read the (sub)thread above on man v. info

The major sources of help/information for me are

Hi,
since i upgraded syslog-ng (in testing)
the following message gets logged to the active console
whenever the netcard module is load/unloaded:
PCI: Found IRQ 10 for device 00:0b.0
PCI: Sharing IRQ 10 with 00:0a.0
PCI: Sharing IRQ 10 with 00:0b.1

one more bit of info:
I can ftp to the machine.
This works absolutely fine.

So, i searched back in the archives and found one short thread on
this topic. There was one hint that the aty128fb in kernel 2.2.x
does not accept cmdline options. So I compiled kernel 2.4.4 and indeed
the cmdline options work there fine ...
Then i went back to 2.2.19 and supprise: with the ve

read the Framebuffer-HOWTO, Chapter 19
it seems that it's not that easy and at the end
you have to recompile the kernel...

i compiled kernel-2.2.19 to set up framebuffer dev.
during boot up kernel recognizes the card properly and
sets the default mode with 80x30 console screen.
so far good, however, i would love to use some xxx x yyy console
after all this is why i started this job on the first place.
so i started to

libXaw.so is provided by xlib6g
and xlib6g-dev provides some other *.a
