mac os x unable to print in landscape form to debian cups server

anyone connecting mac os x to a linux CUPS server? on mine, os x rotates the job then sends it off to the server, while it looks like linux and windows just send it off to the server and make it do the work. the job prints, it just gets rotated twice, pretty much like what is described he
