" right" is a relative word. debian is the right choice for me, if others
(people who use other dist) prefer to reinstall their systems with each
new release it is their business.

i belive the only thing you nead is the module from the kernel. you don't
have to intall the entire distribution for the network card.

than i don't know what it is. sorry. have you tried other kernel versions
before 2.6.3? make sure that you didn't use module in front of ext2. if
you did so, install module-init-tools or use builtin option. if you did
so, there is nothing elese i could help.

Hi I'm using Debian Woody, and i configured a master
DNS server on my network. It suposed to transfer
the master zone to my ISP but it doesn't.
i've tried to investigate my problem from a station situated on the
internet to see what happends. i mention that tried to configure a slave
DNS server
- i can't make anny users (i can create them, but i
can't grant access whith users other than root) they
exist in
/etc/passwd and in /home (in /home their directory is
empty) i can use the command "su username" but i can't
login with their name.
