I am far from being knowledgable on Linux but I struggled with this
recently and this worked for me on debian 1.2 with the most recent deb
version of slrn. Go to the appropriate line in your .slrnrc script file.
Remove the % sign to uncomment the line. You do need to use the quote
marks. Mainta

As a brand new linux/debian user (with help from this list) I have
installed debian from downloaded disks and used the 12-96 InfoMagic disk
set to dselect packages. I have configured and compiled the kernel (I
think/hope). Now when I boot I get a message " no directory /home/(my
account name). L
I am sure this is dead simple and explained in several places but I'm
getting nowhere fast.
I am using a Micron pentium 100 and have Win95 operating on a partitioned 2
gig HD. I choose win95 or debian through OS2 boot manager and debian
boots from its partition with LILO. I also have a debian s
FIPS, but I
haven't been able to find it. What OS does it run under? Where can I find
it?

Thank you all for the help regarding downloading and creating installation
disks. I now have the full set and will attempt to install as soon as I
can work up the courage to repartition my hard drive.
Has anyone tried to set up Debian on an Iomega Jaz drive?
