Hi list,
I'm having here some problems with an ebay'ed switch. The switch
is an ovislink fsh2400 and is manageable. The problem is, that
there is only a db25 port on the backside which should be
connected to the host's parallel port.
So far so good. The problem now is, that there is only software
To all of you!

Sorry for the short answer but I'm just in the mind mapping state
for this problem...
But I guess these corner points are at least _some_ help.

I have the same problems with the same board but 533 Celerons installed.
The problem is the APIC or let me say, the Celeron. As far as I could
follow the kernel-mailinglist this family doesn't has a dual ability.
The chance to run them dual comes from the BP6 chipset of your
motherboard. This,
I really do like my PC. And I never hit but sometimes hug her :)
Later on I will go and check my box power supply.

or you get scribus as a debian package.
I suggest the second way.
So just go to the shell and then go further as root:
# apt-get scribus
and there we are, the newest version of scribus.

I think the best way to say thanks - and als Netiquette compatible -
is to stay tuned and help others the way others helped you.

e,
UDMA(33)
I tried to find documented problems matching to mine but didn't found
something really useful.
Does anyone have experience with the HPT366?
Could there be a link between this problem and the neverending sum of
APIC errors?
Frank.

Sorry I forgot to inform you about my kernel (d'oh!)
I'm running a 2.4.18 Kernel, I think should be late enough, the
oldest mail I found about this topic has been from 1999...
But thanks for you suggestion anyway.
Frank.

Hello fellows,
I hope, I am right here with my problem.
I'm using Debian unstable i386 on my dual Celeron 533 with a Abit BP6
Board and I am quite new to smp. I have here these really annoying
APIC error on CPUn: 0n(0n)
broadcasting over my consoles. As a matter of fact it's not only
annoying me.
