mation, what this optic fiber is like. There are lots of Specifications and Protocols to transport data over fiber. The only one I can be of help is ATM. If you don't know, ask the person, who feeds the data into the fiber. There is a good chance, that the device you want, has a name like "mysterious optical fiber to ethernet switch". Good Luck ! I don't know, if there is a deb-package out there, but with all information provided it should be no problem to compile.
