Something (while updating) my X11 setup changed,
and the fonts displayed by the X11-Server are looking like
printed by an inkjet printer with an empty ink-cartridge.
(They are punctured with holes in it)

I'm currently wondering, why my system is constantly ignoring any attempt
in /etc/login.defs to change the mail Variable to Maildir style.
I tried QMAIL, MAILFILE, MAILDIR, but no effect (stays /var/mail/xy) so far.
the /etc/pam.d/login looks like it does not change it.
I've tried it via ssh login
I found out a working solution, for one of my problems,
on how to rewrite email-addresses with exim for outgoing mail,
but only if the Receipent isnt local.

I've setup a debian box (unstable), without tasksel,
piece per piece as an minimal approach to learn about the dependencies,
but some things dont work as expected (comparing to a normal big-(fat) setup).
