I'm trying to get sound working on a Dell Optiplex Gx270.
In a previous existence (sarge + 2.6.x sarge kernel) sound was working find
on this box.
I reinstalled the box from scratch under etch (netinstall RC1) + aptitude
upgrade.
Sound didn't work with kernel 2.6.18-3-686.
Upgrade to kern

I've been trying to not load some modules on a fresh etch install with
almost no result.
Any decent documentation explaining how to do it ?
The configuration is a small etch install with less than 176 packages
running vanilla linux-image-2.6.18-3-686 debian kernel.
