I had the same problem once..It turned out the fan of the processor gave
out, so the heat of the processor caused the same symptoms..So my 2
cents: check the hardware...

I'm having a problem with my NVIDIA drivers and DEVFS. When I install
the drivers they compile fine and X-windows is working like a charm. But
as soon as I shutdown my laptop en reboot, I have to reinstall my

I'm working a long time now (for about a year) to get debian working on
a Sony Vaio PCG-FX101. Without a network it's working now, but the
problem I can't get over is this:
The PCMCIA network card uses is a realtek chipset, so I'm obliged to use
kernels 2.4.28 to 2.4.20 at most. This beca

reasons (mainly security related). I can't see how Nagios is doing the
remote monitoring (i.e. the hard disk usage and for example the telnet
service) Can someone clear this up for me?
