I used PowerTop on Ubuntu 15.10. I found that Ubuntu 15.10 uses PowerTop
2.7. However Debian Stretch uses PowerTop 2.8. And it seems that the bug is
in the 2.8 version.
I tried to downgrade PowerTop and installed the 2.7 version on Debian. But
now I am getting another error line:

Windows 7 I get a battery life of 6-7 hours. On Ubuntu I get a battery life
of 5 hours after using PowerTop.

Hello. I have a Dell Inspiron 7537 with UEFI and Windows 8.1 installed on
it. I have installed Debian 8 on it however I don't get Grub after
installation. I have also noticed that Grub did not install during
installation.
When I turn ON the laptop, it boots to Windows and Grub does not appear. I

Okay I will install a display manager. But will I need to configure i3 each
time I log in ?? Because this what is happening now. Each time the system
starts, I have to reconfigure i3. Will the display manger solve this
problem?
