Hi Guys,
I got a particular weird passwd problem with one particular debian
machine that I am using... apparently, whether you input a password

Hello Otto,
I don't know how much this will help, but these are the exact steps I
used to get my IDE CDRW working in debian... maybe you can run down
these step again and see whether you missed anything?
1) Add SCSI Emulation support by running 'modconf' and selecting the

bootable as the machine used to be running Microsoft Small Business Server

Hi Everyone,
been using Debian for about 7 months now and loving every minute of
it... so far, I managed to install Debian on more than 10 machines
(some my own, some in the office and some for friends whom I'm trying
to encourage to use Linux) and so far besides some quirks, the

Hello alex,
I have been using Debian for almost 3 months now and I have to admit I
was a little taken back by the Debian Installer in the beginning...
but man, I love it now... its so simple yet powerful and it lets me
decide on the actual flow of the installation... I still remember once

I had some problem initially on getting KDE 3.1 onto my Woody Debian
system until I read some newsgroup posting (including one about a KDE
3.1 Installation Jihad) and found out the best method...
