I've got an oddity I hope somebody can explain for me-
my root partition doesn't show up in mtab. Has anybody seen this before?
/proc/mounts seems fine:

I've found the answer to my second question, re: installing libc5 and
libc6, browsing the 'upgrading' section of the 2.0 distribution. Boy
does this process look messy!
