Millennium now
works! (Presumably the S3 card probably would too.)
Perhaps this is due to the special treatment IRQ 9 sometimes gets
for VGA purposes (something I don't really understand.)
So if you are getting black screens and your card is using IRQ 9,
try forcing to to something else.

does not, with an identical XF86Config. I have given up and ordered a
cheap ($20) refurbished Matrox Millennium. It's a better card anyway;
I already have one in one of the machines.

think that's all the current Debian package does.
You also need to link /etc/resolv.conf to /etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf.
I do agree there's probably a need for a DHCP client mini-HOWTO. Sorry
for the short lifetime of mine, but it really did become unnecessary
shortly after I wrote it.
ou have them, the techniques above should work.
