Some of the releveant information follows:
Package: gcc
Status: install ok installed

Section: devel
Installed-Size: 3092
Maintainer: Galen Hazelwood <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Version: 2.7.2
ime I started having these
problems
but completly purged this package thinking that it was my problem. The
only
other difference might be that I installed xinetd around the same time.

Tried that but that doesn't seem to be the problem.
What should mtab have in it after a shutdown?
I noticed that the new quota package accesses it
with the new program that makes sparse files.
Could that be a problem?
I didn't see anything particularly
of others. Is there some way to get this to reboot
without re-installing. Any help would be appreciated.

s why this happens. If I purge the color-ls
package then everything works fine and the build works.
I like color-ls so I don't want to have to purge it.
Any info would be appreciated. If you need more info
answer my question then let me know.
Thanks
