Is anyone here using mondo to backup their server ? I'm looking for a
solution to backup the critical files/dirs of my server, including the
maildirs. I read that mondo creates bootable rescue cd's, so it sounds
good. But before I'm diving into another "experience" I would like to

Ok, I've setup nis/nfs with autofs on my server, and everything is

Hi guys,
Since i've setup NIS/NFS, my workstation stalls when shutting down.
The message I get is:
"Deconfiguring network interfaces: Failed to connect to locahost:bootpc.

Has this something todo with nis/nfs ?
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I' setting up NIS on my server (unstable). This machine has 2
interfaces: eth0 (10.0.0.150) which is connected the internet, and eth1
(192.168.1.1), connected to my internal network.
I followed the Debian-NIS doc, which is in /usr/share/doc/nis/

Hi All,
I'm trying to setup my debian workstations to redirect all their logs to
my server. My server is running logcheck so it would be nice if I would
get an e-mail with all "strange" things that happen on my workstations.
I know i must configure the syslog service for this, but I

Hi all,
I'm trying to install Mutt on my server (running unstable), so I can read my mail via
ssh.
When I do apt-get install Mutt, it ends with the following error:
'trying to overwrite /usr/share/man/man5/mbox.5.gz, which is also in
package qmail.
How can I solve this ? Is it safe to do a for
