It was something about gkrellm. I was trying it as a temporary solution with
openbox since pypanel has been dropped and tint doesn't yet have all that
functionality. Maybe it was the gkrellm volume control plugin. I don't know.
I dumped the whole thing.

If you upgraded from lenny, and flash was working, perchance you had the
mozilla-flashplayer (I think) pkg instead of the flashplayer-nonfree (I
think)? Because flashplayer-nonfree is broken in lenny. If memory serves,
flashplayer-nonfree will not instal
