Hi,
I've just finished installing my Acer scanner using sane.
All went fine and I'm able to use it with xsane / gimp when I'm root,
but not when I'm an ordinary user.
Should I add myself to a certain group to allow myself scanner access ?
Or is there something else I should do (any ownerships th
as visible). Any attempts to continue the installation from that
point failed.
However, some of my friends (who're also using Woody) don't have this
problem.
Solutions are welcome :)
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
I'm looking for a cheap laser printer that works flawlessly under Linux.
I always thought this wouldn't be hard to find, but it turns out that
some problems may arise with GDI-based printers (who actually dominate
the lower-end market).
All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Coen

I'm using a french azerty M$ Natural keyboard of which all keys work fine
except the numerical keypad. Is there some option to enable it ?

I'll follow your advice :)
The strange thing is however, that before I upgraded to 2.4.X everything
worked fine ..
