I'm not sure if the ax25 modules are within the debian standard kernel,
it seems as if they are not. You would need to build your own kernel
with them included.

Is it working? I tried it for month now, but it never worked. It crashs
on the first client connect. The java programm from the upstream

No the current stable version of Debian now is Woody. Sarge will be the
next stable version it'll be released on September 19th but that date is
only a prospective release date.
