Usually if you can't mount a filesystem it's because it got corrupted somehow,
in this case it might be a "bad superblock" like it says. dmesg will provide
info on exactly why the mount is failing. If you haven't done so, try using
'-t auto' or not usin
debian release, or "testing/unstable" if running testing
or unstable.

me, the Linux client crashes quite frequently. I've been playing around with
Gizmo for about 10 minutes and I think it's exactly what I've been looking for.
Sure, open-source would be *great*, but in while OpenWengo is still in early
development stages Gizmo will work.
file the bug or comment on an existing one?
Well I am using a self-built backport of 1.5 from sid, and it's pretty wacked
out too. So the problem doesn't lie in the build process but possibly in one
of the debian patches.

Those "partitions" are the misinterpretation of the filesystem data as a
partition table. There is a very good chance that /dev/sdb contains a file
system. Try it before saying it won't work.

Try mounting /dev/sdb. I've seen Windows format the raw device without setting
up a partition table -- this is how floppies work usually, so Windows probably
carried the concept over to other removable media

27;t found any Windows software yet that will "play nice" with it.
Can anyone recommend a good pair? I've been looking at OpenWengo as a possible
choice -- same client on both systems. Is the .deb release on their site
stable enough for voice chat? (Not interested in their vid
(Redhat vs SuSE
> vs. Debian) and revision (Debian Woody/3.0, Sarge/3.1, etc).
If /etc/debian_version exists, then it's debian, and the file contents should
be the version number (which will be "testing/unstable" if the user is not
running a stable release).
