Hello!
I have a problem with viewing attachements (JPEG) in pine. When I press
V(iew) I see for a short time the "decompressing" message of the zgv, but
than the monitor reacts with a refresh screen and I'm back in pine,
without beeing able to see the attachement.
However, if I save the attacheme
I managed quite easily to get my ppp running (using the config scripts
included with the Debian 1.3 instalation). Everything was OK until a few
days ago. I've noticed that after phoning and connecting succesfully to
my ISP I get the following message "Serial line appears to be looped

the last few days I've noticed that it takes about 12--15 seconds to

Sorry for what could be considered a very stupid question, but what does
spam-mail mean? I've tried to find the word in the dictionnary, but no

Could you please define it?

Does anybody know how/where could I get a nice printable copy of the Emacs

I already have one from someone, but unfortunately it is xerox-copied
with a huge ecomomy of toner and it's therefore hard to read.

Hi,
It's me again. I looked what's in the logfile of smail in an attempt to
see what is wrong with my .forward and .procmailrc files. I cannot figure
out what to do next, but it seems to me that it is something wrong
_before_ procmail, so procmail does not get any mail to process.
I wonder why i

Thank you to everybody answering my question on procmail and smail. I've
put the files .forward and .procmailrc, modified the USERNAME to my
usernaname (ie cpopescu), but it still does not work. Do I have to create
the files where procmail is supposed to save the incoming messages? Is

Does anybody have any idea what should I put in my .forward file to get
procmail working. I've already put

in .forward and took a procmailrc from the examples, but it does not work.
I have smail and not sendmail.
I have the following permissions for uucico:

I try to change permissions to allow ordinary users to invoke uucico

I already tried: chmod a+s uucico (I imagined that th

Hi to everyone,
Just a small and stupid question. How can I format floppies under Debian?
I've tried fdformat /dev/fd0H1440 (which used to work with Slackware) but
it doesn't work with Debian. What am I missing?
Thanks,

Thank you very much,
