e*making _old_ ones?
Thanks for all the help... have gone from a hopeless and especially painful
(the data's on the disk, and we can't get at it!) scenario to serious hope
for this box in < 24 hours thanks to debian-user!

or cfdisk and go to town?
The owner of the box with the problem does have his copy of Norton Utilities
from years ago, no manual readily available. Is there a good way of getting
this done with that tool?
Thanks to everyone for all the help.

e blocks. IOW, mostly free space. The
owner of the box indicates that there was NO partition that size, but he
thinks "C:" (the fat16 partition) was /dev/hda1 as the "new" one is shown to
be.

Yes.
$ lynx -dump file-or-URL.html > textfile.txt
Then do any 'cleaning-up' of the target textfile.

What? I've n

This is a strange one. Lynx is so configurable, I couldn't fathom this
being a static setting...
Thanks much for taking a stab at it. Any other guesses?

(man lynx)
and searching some lists and newsgroups have yielded close but no exact

Greetings...
I have recently developed a liking to using 'open' to launch apps on
extra virtual consoles. I'm a fan of gpm to select and paste text on the
_first six_ consoles. Works *exactly* like it should.
On the "extra" consoles I can select text fine. I cannot paste it onto any
other co
image(s) you ask
for on a new virtual console.
As for finding it debianized, you're on your own!
Good luck.
