I know this is sacrilege, but I found it fairly easy to install oracle on an
intel box running solaris. you can get the cd-rom set for solaris 8 from sun
for $80 and install it in as many places as you want. You'll have to check
to ensure that your hardware is supported before trying to install so
your win2000 desktop is configured with an IP address, right? Let's say it's
1.64.34.214
connect to your debian box, set DISPLAY to
1.64.34.214:0
and it should work. Note that SSH isn't relevant at this point, you have a
session on your debian box that will then try to open any x-windows program
