Each GUI shows their own download speed. The xnetload can show overall
eth0 cumulative network speed. But how can I get it in clear text?
I may not have totally understood wh

whether to put another partition to the boot loader or not and if
you read carefully what it says everything ought to work like a
charm
The 160 GB version is available for about 125€ I guess those 5
won't make the difference, right? The disc got some 8192 KB of cache
and happens to be very silent, around 3.7 Sone.

Some people drink from the fountain of knowledge, others just
will probably not need for a server installation.
So here, I would go for the woody installer. Which will give you the
choice of what to install.

Google didn't help me with my questions neither.
Would be great if there was another method to resolve this problem than
a reinstall.
