Dear Sir,
I am Gouri Sankar here? I have got Debian Linux from the Linux Magazine.
I have loaded in my computer. The problem is after loading the Debian
Linum, my system is booting directly from the hard disk.
The Athelon cpu runs very hot. I had one on an Asus MB that toasted the
whole shooting match cause the fan (came with the cpu in OEM packaging)
broke off the socket and melted down the cpu. I have since taken to
installing monster fans and heat sinks. That works fine. When in

In the StarOffice directory where you unpacked the tarball is a README
file that details how to install multiple users. Each user has to run
setup and install a 2 meg (rather large) base package.
A word of advise: Save your files often. SO craps out on a regular
basis. I love the gui, but it's a
Sounds like a hardware problem. Have you checked out if your hardware
is compatable with Linux? The hardware compatability page at debian.org
is very helpful to review.

I forgot that I had added an append to lilo.conf. Would that have

Thank God for the rescue disk...

Here is my problem: My end goal is to

I've installed Hamm from a cd. I need to
upgrade X to 3.3.5 so it will support my i740 video card. It would be nice
to install StarOffice51, but that won't happen cause it needs glibc. How
can I get to where I need to be?
Hey, this is a good one {grin} . Why can't I think up a scam like this?

recall reading a post in this list re: someone who had hacked a driver.
My solution was to give the printer to my kids (win-machine) and buy a Canon
BJC-610 - that I found was compatible via the supported hardware page.
