Did a network install of debian stable and then an upgrade to unstable. Seemed
to be okay.
Ran XF86Setup and this completed with the usual save screen. But there was not
a linking message.
Running 'startx' produces error notice:

The only hit has been when I made a modem connection

confined to that machine.

Hi List:
Attached is a copy of my sources.list.
It seems that about every other time I do apt-get update that one or more
sources will not connect.
Is there another, more reliable list of sources?
Thanks,

These are the pertinent lines from /etc/apt/sources.list:

Installed Libranet 1.7 (2.2.14) some months ago. Most refreshing install
experience I ever had.
Their install docs a little skimpy but adequate.
Their CD worth it if only to get the 1 year support. Never saw anybody work
harder at answering questions - fast - and properly detailed.

Hello the List:
Has anybody installed this package?
Thanks,
Bill Barnes
my first serious effort in Debian I will certainly appreciate
someone walking me thru these changes.
Thanks very much,

You can bring up the main KDE menu with Alt-F1 and cursor/return to the next
level menus.
In every distro I've tried (Mandrake,SuSE,OpenBSD,etc) the installation has an
early screen that configures the mouse. Without exception, any attemp to
reset the mouse in XF86Setup kills it.
Good luck,

Setup your video card as you did before. See the install guide.
