I'm very happy to see that this bug has been fixed, but contrary to
what this email says this package has _not_ been installed in the ftp
archieves yet. I have look at ftp.debian.org, and various other
places. If this is not the canonical site, what is?

ed works to put in a clause saying
"This product includes software developed by Cliff Draper" in all
advertising etc; the requirement in question is know as the "onerous
advertising clause". This is great if you'd like people to stroke
your ego, but it annoys a lot
Keeping in mind what you had said above, I then tried

Thanks for the help!

a tip from somewhere, and
added
xrdb -merge ~/.Xdefaults
to my ~/.xsession. However this only has an effect if I start emacs
from the xterm started in my .xsession; if I launch emacs from the

If I type emacs20 emacs 20.3 comes up, so I know that it's installed.
What's wrong? How do I fix it?
