Is there anything else that can cause DRI to fail?
I don't see any error messages in /var/log/XFree86.0.log. drm/DRI
seem to install fine, but then inside the X sessi
Hi there,
I've upgraded my Internet-gateway machine to Debian 2.0beta recently

now, I am at a loss, and I can't find out, what broke the network
gatewaying... Obviously, there must have been a slight change in at least

Hi there,
has anyone found a good regexp class to use with the libstdc++ package
(preferably one that works rather well with the basic_string class
provided in libstdc++). Since libg++-dev "seemingly" no longer is a viable
option, where will I find such a class then?

Amaya DOES support Java including a JIT (Amaya uses kaffe as its JVM), but
it's not yet ready for prime time.

Hi there,
recently I asked about how to do IP-Accounting, and it looks like
net-acct is the package to go for. But, after trying it - has someone
managed to account the traffic on an outgoing (dialOUT) PPP connection?
I mailed the two people who hinted towards using net-acct, Heiko
Schlitte
Hmm, I was looking towards something more specific, I just didn't know
yet, whether the kernel IP-Accounting was sufficient for my purposes;
which it unfortunately isn't...
I'd need to get a finer split in traffic list, I'd need to get an
accounted list indicating each service and each new desti
Is there an IP-Accounting HOWTO available anywhere? (Or is there anyone
who could supply a couple of good tips).
So far, I've managed to set rules for the IP accounting via ipfwadm (and
the kernel has IP-Accounting support), but *where* do I retrieve the
accounting information -- I haven't seen
sired effect? I mean, what's the '277464K
shrd' info good for except for boasting to those Windoze people?
I'd rather be interested in an output of total shared size, where each
shared page is only listed once...

I am not too knowledgable in IP routing, so I guess the mistake a made is
probably pretty stupid - nevertheless, I'd like to know what's wrong and
how to fix it...
Any ideas?

Did you need to install any patches to make it run?

alternatively you could use:
rm `find . -name TRANS.TBL`
which would have some advantages regarding speed & system usage, as rm
wouldn't be called individually for each file, but rather once for all
files.

Hi there,
I suppose I found a bug in libc (V5.2.18 - don't have a newer version

the ctime man page the following source yields a wrong result:

If I understand correctly, as soon as I set the 'user' flag in /etc/fstab,
any user can mount/unmount a partition. But - why can't I use 'mount
-atnfs' when all nfs partitions have the user flag set (error message is
'mount: only root can do that')?
