In Sid you can open and edit documents as usual.
In Testing the document opens and closes immediately.

check that pnp is disabled.
I'm using Potato. I used the dos-utility 3C5X9CFG.EXE to disable pnp and
to find out the irq.
I think the utility I mentioned has an option to configure a working
irq.
