Hi, It's when it gets to "Invoking SVGATextMode..." on bootup that it switches back to 80x25. Is "svgatextmode" some sort of driver I should unload in order to get this to "stick?" Thanks Andy

I've got another question about dselect. It seems like when I go in there and choose some more packages to "install," then tell it to install, it gives some kind of error about /cdrom being mounted. I have to exit dselect, umount /cdrom, then re-enter dselect, select install and off she goes...

Hi, Is this known to be a bit buggy? I put this in there and once in awhile (every 5th boot or so... I know linux is stable but am saving electricity ) I get the video option in the boot menu ("hit enter to choose"). Once it "crashed the video" (after choosing something like 132 x something mode)

The mouse isn't coming up in XWindows. I've never seen it in text Emacs before either so should it be there? I've got a MSFT Bus mouse on IRQ4. The gpm is set to /dev/inportbm and the busmouse type. Still it doesn't seem to work. Is there a configuration file where it could accidentally be set

My guess is that the windows install probably uses the same lowest-common-denominator graphics mode (it looks like it to me) regardless of video hardware and the Linux X-based setup is using different modes during setup, dependent upon which video card it thinks it detects. The Windows-based setup
