btw: i switched to lprng, because lpr + magicfilter + epson stylus color = no
way or printing garbage. the reason is unknown. with lprng no problems so far.

magicfilter died silently. don't know why :(

write the proxy statement in your .bashrc, .bash_profile or /etc/profile.
but you can also set this variable in /etc/apt/apt.conf (on newer (>3.x)
