/dev/ram0 is mount on /
/dev/hda is mounted on /instmnt

I managed to catch one last part of the error message before it restarts.
It says:
/dev/loop0: Operation not supported by device

Does this change anything?

Thanks for responding so quickly, but I'm pretty sure that /dev/hda is the
cdrom because I have only one SCSI harddrive.
Besides, it won't let me use any of the others because it can't find the
drive, then. :)

I have just started to install Debian Linux. I don't think I got past first
base.
After making my floppies I rebooted with the resc1440.bin disk firmly in the
drive. On the first screen I pressed Enter heres what I got :
