Hi List,
I'm not an expert.
Does anyone know, what this lines mean:
ohci1394: fw-host0: Runaway loop while stopping context: ...
...
ohci1394: fw-host0: Set PHY Reg timeout [0x/0x4000/100]
...
I find them repeated a lot of times in my dmesg.
Is that normal or I'm missing something?
Got it!
I update the system and it upgraded initrd-tools, plus I updated the
kernel-2.6.11 also. Then I copyed the new default config from /boot and
I'm now running it.
So, I suppose initrd-tools was buggy...
thanks anyway,
bye

undestand what did they do and then to compile it...
In this moment I'm trying to compile the 2.6.11 kernel with the default
.config file, as a first step.
thanks

I just tryed to compile the 2.6.22 kernel with make-kpkg and the default

I doesn't boot giving endless loop with and error apparently related

what it was on the console...
Is that a known problem of
Hi all,
I'm trying to make working the bluetooth of my laptop.
I read some documentation, and it seems simple...
- I'm running sid, kernel 2.6.11-686. In that kernel the default config
options seems to be ok for the bluetooth.
- I installed bluez-utils, bluez-hcidump, bluez-firmware

I've never done it before..

Hi,
I'm running sarge, but I would like to keep using the testing distribution,

Hi all,
I'm looking for a "file manager" like mc, but for scp connections.
Cause, I often transfere several directories and I have to copy each of
them with a different command and passwd... :-(
Do you know any nice solution?
Thanks,

Hi all
I'm running Debian testing on a laptop, and I'm always moving with my
computer in different laboratories, with different networks.
In order to manage the net configuration I'm now using quickswitch,
which is not bad, but it's not a Debian package :-(
Is there a way to have the same functi
Hi all,
I've got a Woody. I needed to upgrade vtk to vtk 4.0 (its a c++ library
for imaging), so I installed it from unstable. It bring with it a LOT of
other packages and now, as a result apparently, I cannot link any
program using libraries !! ld gives me a long list of undefined
