Now the IBM 3995 or IBM 3996 optical jukebox systems are no longer supported
by IBM as Plasmon (original manufacturer) went outta business. UDO itself is
long since done. Most IBM 3995 and IBM 3996 optical jukebox users are fast
migrating to blu ray due to cost, non proprietary format, wide ranging
there are Linux drivers available. As long as you can write CIFS, NFS or
http mount points you should be fine. The HP boxes are no longer supported
so you might want to look at a newer machine like the powerfile A3 or Hybrid
Storage appliance.
