You have an DNS problem. Mailservers only accept mails, if the Domainname of the
machine which wants to send mail (tarot.foo.com) i.e. resolves - fortunately a
reverse lookup is not nesecary. One possibiliy is to use a dynamic DNS, the
other is to use the MAC Address to set tarot to a fixed IP-
As far as I know you only might want to reboot if you change the hostname and
want it active. If you change the partitiontable it might be usefull.
For the deamons the startscripts redide in /etc/init.d (SuSE/sbin/init.d/) and
all accept start, stop, sometimes status, reload, restart. Try it by

I did some research with ldap - the point for me is the use in network for
different operating systmes and netscapes roaming profiles. I was able to set up
this, but some things (Addressbook, ...) don't work (yet) with Version 2.0.x -
there is very little documentation. Thers is a Samba-Version
You need to install modutils from woody. Then it worked for me, but test12 was
not stable on my system.
