Have followed both guided partitioning as well as trying manual
partitions with efi boot as first partition. Install works fine but
after completion does not boot (get ? folder image) - tried to boot
into rescue mode but target partition not found

debug packages and try generating a core.
But the crash happens only at boot time, the service can be started

While playing around with this a bit in a VM, I found that it is
possible to switch back and forth between systemd and sysvinit just
by installing/removing the respective package containing /sbin/init
