When I try to open the gnome System Settings, it opens a window titled
"Starting Sytem Settings" but it never actually opens any window, and after
a few seconds, the taskbar window closes.
How do I troubleshoot this?

I tried the amd proprietary module, it does not compile.
No clue in log files
