Hello all,
I am planning to install a HP NC380T Dual Port PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet
Card (374443-001) in our Debian 6.0.6 computer.
I have no idea if Debian has support for this card. I understand that
in some Linux versions, this is done with the bce drivers.
Any one has experience with this card?

How do I migrate to testing or unstable: does it require a re-install

As already mentioned, squeeze-backports might help, though neither
netatalk nor privoxy currently have more recent versions backported.
Consider building your own backports. O

Debian Stable is. For bleeding edge you want Unstable.

Hi,
I've new to Debian, but already I've found two important packages that
haven't been updated for this OS in a while: Netatalk is almost three
years out of date, and Privoxy seems just as bad (I'm on 3.0.16, and
3.0.18 stable was released at the end of 2011).
I was looking for a stable, well-es

Hi,
I'm on Debian Squeeze 6.0.7 amd64, I always used tar command for my
backups using a couple of file to include and exclude directories.
Now something strange it happens:
(username) means the name which it's used to login to the system.
root@mitas:~# tar --version
tar (GNU tar) 1.23

Hi,
Looking at page http://wiki.debian.org/NetworkConfiguration I see 2 different
syntaxes for vlan raw device. One uses dashes, vlan-raw-device, the other
underscores, vlan_raw_device.
I had underscores in my /etc/network/interfaces config and it did not work.
I changed it to dashes and it did
