Thanks to all who ansered. For what it's worth I have decided to go with
the Asus EeePC 901, which is available here for 235 Euro and would seem

Last time I ran Udpate Manager (Desktop --> Administration --> Update
Manager), when I clicked the Check button (Check the channel for new

since many kernels ago I've used VGA console fonts that have been more

I did some minor system tweaks and rebooted... alas, X does not start on
lenny.
Careful reading of error message pointed me to missing /dev/agpgart. My
dual boot system function works OK. So this is software issue.

After an upgrade, gnome-power-manager (version 2.22.1) can't suspend
anymore, it does absolutely nothing. I supposed that what it does is
call the dbus-send command. Therefore i tried suspending using that
module explicitly:
